At Beaver County Spinal Disc & Neurology Center, we understand that knee pain can be debilitating and often disabling. Symptoms are wide ranging and can affect each individual differently. Some symptoms of chronic knee pain may include:
·Common signs of osteoarthritis, such as swelling, stiffness, feeling of warmth in the joint, and creaking or grinding sounds
·Crunching and popping sounds
·Difficulty walking up and down stairs
·Difficulty turning in bed
·Difficulty bending or squatting
·Difficulty arising from a seated position
Beaver County Spinal Disc & Neurology Center offers solutions for chronic knee pain – without drugs, without injections, and without surgical intervention. Dr. Michele M. Askar’s treatment protocol consists of a series of therapies administered 3 times per week, for 1 to 8 weeks. Sessions will last between 15 and 55 minutes, depending on the severity of the patient’s condition. These therapies can include a combination of cold laser therapy, Trigenics® neuromuscular reeducation therapy, interferential therapy, and a knee machine. This protocol has proved successful in providing significant pain reduction and lasting relief.
